People say Easter is the key time is the christian religion.
'Without Easter there would be no Christianity!'
But without Christmas there would be no Easter.
'But!' some would argue 'If Jesus didn't die on the cross then our sins wouldn't have been forgiven'
'But!' I argue 'If He hadn't have been born, He couldn't have died!'
At my local cell group we were discussing Jesus' death.
'If the crowd had chosen to free Jesus and crucified Barabbas then what would become of our religion? Would we be Jewish? Or would He have forgiven our sins in a different way?'
So... Does that mean that we are thankful that people betrayed Jesus? Should we not look upon Pilot as good? he was doing Gods will was he not? And should we be thankful that the high priest took Jesus to pilot?
